Guys: Jeans and sneakers do not have to be considered juvenile wear anymore, especially if you're rocking them like this, and looking like this in them. Also the signature "bad boy" leather jacket does not have to be classic black. A smooth leather jacket like the Schott NYC bomber pictured above can be worn in just as many ways as the classic black leather jacket can.

Fashion Crush: SUNO
When I first saw this line the saying "it's not what you do, but how you do it " immediately came to mind. Designers Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty are certainly not the first designers to experiment with bold patterns and pops of color or ethnic prints, but they are certainly the first duo to do it in the manner of which they have. The pieces do not have that "leave it to the experts" feel to them as some who are afraid of mixing color and patterns at risk of looking like a clown would believe. The idea that the collections by Osterweis and Beatty are collections of several different pieces such as jackets, skirts, dresses and pants, is a great one because there are many ways the pieces can be worn. Look for the line at luxury retailer Barneys New York. BTW, while checking out pics of the SS2011 collection below, peep the cute colorful wedges and flats that the models are rocking. According to Style.com, the shoes are the result of a collaboration between SUNO and shoe (accessory and clothing) designing duo Loeffler Randall, and they will be available in the Spring for purchase.

Glamourously Explosive: Gasoline Glamour
If glitz, glam and baubles are your thing then you'll love Gasoline Glamour. The line has an extensive amount of accessories to choose from as well as customizable options for most of the pieces. The eye patches are killer, and the gigantic rings are dreamy, something you would imagine wanting as a kid. The shoes, which are catching on like wildfire are only offered on a made to order basis with prices available upon request. For the most part many of the items in the line can be worn during a night on the town, but there are some pieces that seem to me to be great for videos and editorial. Check out stars Eva Marcille and Katerina Graham rocking pieces from the line.

THE REVIVAL: KEITH HARING (1958-1990)
For those that are aware of the artist Keith Haring, his work and his legacy within the art world, it seems as if the artist is in need of anything but a revival. Haring's work and pieces inspired by his work are, and will always be on display, but for younger generations (myself included), Haring is making what some would view as a comeback, on the fashion scene instead of the art scene. While I was not familiar with Haring as an artist, I was certainly familiar with his work. Upon viewing a documentary about the artist on QVTV, a channel dedicated to the arts, I realized that as a child growing up in the 80' and 90's, I had seen his work many times, particularly in one very important PSA about HIV/AIDS. From the documentary, The Universe of Keith Haring, I not only learned about Haring, his childhood, his rise to fame and the message he wanted to deliver through his art, but also that he was truly dedicated to art. Often you hear many artists of different types speak on their dedication to their craft, how they live and would die for their craft, but Haring, it seems took that saying to a whole other level. He was like some kind of super human art machine from another world, I do not believe that there is another major artist with a higher output of work than his. He produced so much work in such short periods of time that one of his friends, who participated in the documentary stated that they were fearful of his work becoming valueless at some point. When asked for an autograph, Haring would not simply sign his name, but do a drawing on whatever he could. His choices and substitute for a canvas were many, he would paint and draw on the bodies of his friends, the walls, outside or in the subway station, cars and other items that many often requested he leave his mark on. When I see the way in which many fashion designers are using Haring's iconic prints in their designs it kind of reminds me of the POP SHOP that he opened, which sold items anywhere from t-shirts to magnets with Haring's design on them, so that the masses would have access to his work. Most recently there was the Haring inspired collection by Patricia Field, which consisted of everything from bags, dresses and t-shirts, the Tommy Hilfiger limited edition sneaker collection, and more recently the Noir Jewelry and Nicholas Kirkwood shoe collections.

FINALLY IT'S HERE: ASOS U.S.A
There's been some buzz about this for some time, but finally all the talk can end and the clicking can begin. For those of you familiar with ASOS you're probably thinking whats the big deal because you can order from the original ASOS site, switch the currency to reflect that of the USD and receive your package for $6.00 shipping. If you were an ASOS fan for as long as I have been you remember when a flat rate for shipping did not exist and were taking a chance on never getting your package and certainly not having the option to return an item if it did not fit or was the wrong color (because the cost of return shipping was off the charts). Now with the arrival of this U.S. site you don't have to worry about the cost of sending your package back or trying to accurately translate the sizing. Also for a limited time the retailer is offering FREE shipping both ways. Now all we need is news that ASOS is planning to open up a store or two in the US in the near future (hopefully one will be in New York). Visit http://us.asos.com to shop.

FASHION WEEK IN A FLASH: GET DRESSED WITH VICTORIA BECKHAM
Seeing a celebrity as the face of their own brand these days is nothing new. While so many celebs have managed to step into the role of fashion designer very few of them actually take it seriously or have any kind of eye for designing. A few celebs have managed to get it right though. Victoria Beckham is one of them. Just last week I saw Beckham on the View's Friday style segment and was very impressed with the fall 2010 pieces she showed. While the dresses weren't wildly colored, printed, or anything that has not been done before, they were nothing short of magnificent. It seems Beckham has found her niche: classic dresses with clean lines, some draping and shapes that agree with most body types. Her SS2011collection has picked up where the fall collection left off. There is a dress in this collection for every occasion you could think of. Beckham is certainly one to watch, and the fact that she already has a following, having dressed celebs such as Demi Moore, Kate Hudson and Drew Barrymore, something tells me we'll be watching her for a while.
FASHION WEEK IN A FLASH: DVF
It seems Fashion Week this year came and went, maybe in the future we could have Fashion Month. Anyway here are some of my favorite looks from one of my favorite designers whom I feel really understands and designs for a woman's body. While most designers say they do, DVF truly does. Take it from a woman who goes up and down in sizes constantly and is never disappointed in the choices available from DVF. For Spring RTW 2011 DVF gave us her classic style notes, prints, patterns and color with just a dash of something more added to the pot. Think of it in terms of having your favorite dessert with a new ingredient in it that you love, but realize wasn't there the other times you had it. The accessories seemed more youthful and hipper for lack of a better word, the waist pouches aka fanny packs were really cute and I also loved the separates, the way they were matched on the runway and the potential they had in fitting into a real woman's wardrobe. LOOK....

FASHION WEEK IN A FLASH: MARC JACOBS
Voluminous, Glam, Classic and Fabulous can all be used to describe the Marc Jacobs SS2011 show. Even when others feel Jacobs has missed the mark I always think he's on point. It is clear that this collection is an amalgam of several different influences, but nonetheless, combined flawlessly with a color palette that is rich and inspiring. I especially love the pink, purple and red color palette. The accessories are to die for, everything from the platform shoes to the hair, neck and waist ties. I can certainly see the flower becoming one of the hottest hair accessories next summer. While some say they are so over the 70's inspired clothes they've been seeing on the runways, I am head over heels for it all. I love a good bell bottom, a great jumpsuit and wide lens shade and this collection has it all. See some pics below.
