Underdone, softly tousled, pinned, tucked, ironed or snipped this season's hair trends run the gamut. There is certainly something for everyone to try. Of the many different hair trends this season I have to say I favor the softly tousled look with a center or side part and the ponytail. Take a look at some looks that may inspire you to try a new do this season.
STRAIGHT & WINDSWEPT
An example of this season's straight and windswept look would be the styles that models Abbey Lee Kershaw and Constance Jablonski rocked on the Balmain and Anna Sui rtw Fall 2010 runways. Notice how the hair is straightened and sleek, but also contains a bit of body to it, rather than the hair being pin straight and stiff.
WAVY & TOUSLED
The timeless allure of wavy tousled locks never seem out of season and it is a style that most can rock. Get inspired by model Joan Smalls who rocked this look down the DVF Fall 2010 runway and Megan Fox.
PINNED & TUCKED
How cool is the pompadour? First popular during the 60's and ready for a comeback in 2010. We have been seeing this style floating around for a while now, but I think this season it will really show up and show out. Get inspired by the talented fancy foot songstress Janelle Monae or take a cue from Fendi's Fall rtw 2010 show.
PULLED & WRAPPED
This last hair trend, the ponytail, has been around and a favorite forever. Whenever I wear a ponytail it makes me feel and look at least three years younger than I am. I don't know any woman that couldn't live with looking younger than she really is. Of all the different hairstyles one can wear I think the ponytail is the most versatile because you can wear it high, low, to the side like the model in the Fall DKNY show in the first pic, or like the model in the second pic, walking the Louis Vuitton Fall 2010 runway.
